Does Trello’s AI Board Cleanup Reduce Friday Maintenance?

Does Trello’s AI Board Cleanup Reduce Friday Maintenance? Trello can now merge duplicate cards, turn card text into checklists, pull dates from titles, and suggest focus time. Those are small chores, which makes them easier to test than a broad promise about an AI project manager. For two weeks, count duplicate cards found, wrong merges, checklist edits, missed dates, and minutes spent putting the board right. Compare that with the same board before the features were on. The result I’d care about is whether Friday cleanup got shorter and fewer people had to ask which card was current. If archived cards keep getting reopened or every generated checklist needs repair, the maintenance moved rather than disappeared.

A duplicate card is not clutter. It is two people believing different work is current. Trello preserves the originals and offers an immediate undo, but the better test happens a day later: can someone who spots a bad merge recover both cards and understand what changed without asking around? If not, Friday cleanup has simply been traded for Monday archaeology.
